Food products and alcoholic beverages distribution company  "GD Group" expands its business and enters the hotel business. The company founder Gocha  Darchiashvili  said in his interview with "Forbes-Georgia" that the construction of the company’s  first hotel is underway in Tbilisi. Though, it is not yet clear whether the hotel will be transferred under the management of the company with international experience or  the Georgian brand will be created.

In Darchiashvili’s words,  the second hotel is also planned to be built  in Tbilisi.  The company decided to start  the  hotel business after the number of tourists increased in the country.
