Chinese CEFC Interested in Investing in Georgia

CEFC, which is  one of the largest Chinese companies, shows its interest  in  investing in Georgia – Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said  after meeting with representatives of the company.

 

According to PM, Chinese investors are interested in such sectors as energy, finance, and tourism as well as  logistics, which is of particular importance due to  the Great Silk Road  project.

 

During the meeting the sides agreed  to establish a working group to  study all the opportunities  interesting  for investors. From the Georgian side it will be headed by Minister of Economy of Georgia Dmitry Kumsishvili.

 

It was  also agreed to hold the  Investment Forum in Shanghai in July where the CEFC’s head office is based.

 

CEFC company is one of the largest in China which is mainly engaged in  energy, finance and industry. Its annual turnover reaches $ 35 billion.

 

The company invests in European countries, including the Czech Republic and Romania.
