World's Highest Glass Elevator to be Installed at Enguri HPP

Upon the initiative of the Cultural Heritage Protection National Agency and in collaboration with various agencies,  infrastructure adjacent to  the Enguri dam is planned to be rehabilitated  in the near future.
 
According to the project, Enguri HPP will have  cable cars, taxes, the appropriate infrastructure for lovers of extreme sports  as well as one of the world's highest glass elevator.
 
Nikoloz Antidze, Director General of  the Cultural Heritage Protection National Agency has presented  the concept of the power plant’s development to Minister of Energy Ilia Eloshvili and Minister of Culture Mikheil Giorgadze.
 
As Nikoloz Antidze says, the concept has been developed with the participation of Estonian experts.
 
The works will start in 2017 and the first phase will be completed in three years.
 
Enguri HPP's arched dam was granted cultural heritage status in 2015.
